Leading from the Front

Laem Chabang Port’s continued strong growth is a testament to Thailand’s appeal as an export hub and gateway to the region. Container growth in Thailand is strongly correlated to GDP, and the government’s recently announced plans to start the Eastern Economic Corridor Development Project is expected to continue the drive towards strong growth in the future.

As the current largest terminal operator at Laem Chabang Port, Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) is committed to delivering the best to our customers. We do this by investing into the types of facilities and technologies that allow our business to meet the demands of the market.

Hutchison Ports Thailand has been at Laem Chabang Port since the Port commenced operations and we intend to stay as a long term partner. HPT currently operates Terminals A2, A3, C1 & C2, and while the facilities have been exceeding our service level goals we initially set, they have been close to capacity for years now.

To alleviate the pressure of increasing demands all the while building towards a future of strong sustainable growth HPT is investing into Terminal D; set to be the largest and most state-of-the-art terminal at Laem Chabang Port. The groundbreaking of Terminal D was a watershed moment for HPT, and will enable us to meet the anticipated demand of the growing market going forward.
