On the 27th of May 2024, Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) continues to tackle climate change with the Faculty of International Maritime Studies, Kasetsart University, Sriracha Campus (IMS, KU) for the third Year of Go Green Project. Both parties held a press conference at the Faculty of International Maritime Studies to officially announce their Go Green activities for 2024.
During the event, Asst. Prof. Seri Koonjaenak, DVM, PhD, Vice President of Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus, delivered a welcome speech, and Asst. Prof. Dr Sarinya Sanitwong Na Ayutthaya, Dean for Faculty of the Faculty of International Maritime Studies, delivered a thank you speech to all attendees. Mr Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director of Thailand & South East Asia, Hutchison Ports, was honoured to give a speech unveiling the Go Green 2024 initiatives and its objectives.
🌱The Go Green project encompasses a variety of exciting initiatives planned for 2024:
• Delivery of guest lectures by experts from Hutchison Ports Thailand on Port Efficiency Management and Port Sustainability Management.
• Internship opportunities for our students at Hutchison Ports Thailand, providing valuable real-world experience.
• Tree planting activities, both on campus and throughout the local community.
• A student painting contest with the theme “Green Port Saves the Ocean,” encouraging creative expression on environmental issues.
• A waste management workshop under the topic “Waste2Worth” for the local community.
