Thailand: The Heart of Our South East Asian Operations

Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) serves as the heart of our South East Asian operations, with five terminals at Laem Chabang Port acting as a gateway to Asia and the world. Leveraging Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor Development Project, HPT offers integrated air, land, rail and sea connections, making it a crucial logistics and transport hub for the region.

HPT’s strategic advantages include:

Water Access

HPT currently operates five terminals at Laem Chabang Port. We connect with numerous river and ocean-going shipping lines that call at our facilities every day.

Road Access

HPT is located within two kilometers of the main highway that links the capital Bangkok to the eastern region of Thailand. Several trucking lines regularly serve the port and the surround facilities.

Air Access

Suvarnabhumi International Airport is located only 120 kilometers from HPT, providing air links for cargo and passengers to destinations worldwide.

Rail Access

The port is served by the State Railway of Thailand with a direct connection to the inland container depot at Lat Krabang.

Expanding Our Reach Across South East Asia

Beyond Thailand, HPT’s extensive network encompasses key locations throughout
