Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) recently welcomed the ultra large container vessel, MSC MINA, to Terminal D at Laem Chabang Port.
The MSC MINA is by far the largest ever container vessel to call Thailand, and at 399.7 m length overall with a total gross tonnage of 228,741 tons and capacity of 23,656 TEUs, it is also one of the largest container vessels in the world. It is the second time this month that HPT’s Terminal D has received a container vessel in the ultra-large class and the increased frequency of such vessels reflects HPT’s capability in servicing vessels of this size.
