Autonomous trucks offer a safe and environment-friendly container-handling solution by using electric power, which is part of the group’s Zero-Emission policy.
On 24 June 2022, Hutchison Ports Thailand received delivery of a further four Super Post-Panamax ship-to-shore cranes and eight rubber-tyred gantry cranes at Terminal D, Laem Chabang Port, all of which are remote-controlled and electrically operated. These new cranes will help increase capacity and reduce carbon emissions at the terminal.
