Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) recently welcomed MSC ISTANBUL, a container vessel belonging to Mediterranean Shipping (Thailand) Co., Ltd., on her first call at Terminal D, Laem Chabang Port.
MSC ISTANBUL berthed at HPT’s most advanced terminal with 399 meters of length. She has the capacity of 16,652 TEUs with 176,490 of maximum gross tons, which makes her the largest container vessel to ever call at Thailand.
HPT quickly, accurately, and safely unloaded containers from the vessel with their remote-controlled Quay Cranes and RTGs.
