Hutchison Ports Thailand executives and staff, along with faculty members and students from the Faculty of International Maritime Studies at Kasetsart University, Sriracha Campus, hosted a “Save the Crab, Shape the Sea” activity at the Sriracha Fisheries Research Station, Faculty of Fisheries, Kasetsart University. This initiative helps conserve and restore marine ecosystems by releasing blue crabs back into their natural habitat.
Launched under the “Save the Crab, Shape the Sea” initiative, the activity aimed to raise awareness about marine ecosystems, promote wildlife conservation, and offer participants a hands-on opportunity to help restore the abundance of Thailand’s seas.
Beyond the hands-on experience, participants gained valuable insights into marine conservation and the vital role blue crabs play in the environment. By releasing these crabs back into their natural habitat, the volunteers helped boost their chances of growth and reproduction—ultimately supporting the balance of coastal ecosystems and the long-term sustainability of marine resources.
