November 10th, 2021; Mr. Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director, Mr. Anat Machima, Chief Operating Officer, together with management officers of Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) recently welcomed executives from Yang Ming Line (Thailand) Co., Ltd. including Mr. YH Chang, President, Ms. Vicky Chiu, Mr. Wesley Lee, and Mr. Alanner Liu to Terminal D, Laem Chabang Port.
The visitors were presented with HPT’s remote-control center for the operation and monitoring of Terminal D’s remote-controlled ship-to-shore cranes and rubber tyred yard cranes.
October 25th, 2021: Mr. Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director of Hutchison Ports Thailand, was recently invited to join the ‘HSBC Tech Webinar Series: Building Smarter Infrastructure through Technology’ as one of the guest panelists. HSBC hosted the webinar, which gathered industry leaders to discuss the outlook for Asian infrastructure and how the latest technologies could be integrated with the development of countries across Asia Pacific. During the webinar, Mr. Ashworth shared his perspective on the necessity of autonomous technology in the ports and terminals industry and the challenges that port and container terminal operators are facing from the global pandemic such as congestion. Mr. Ashworth also provided an insight on how Hutchison Ports Thailand has optimized its operations at its Terminal D at Laem Chabang Port with self-driving trucks and remote-controlled ship-to-shore cranes.
September 30th, 2021; Mr. Anat Machima, Chief Operating Officer of Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) was recently invited to join the Faculty of International Maritime Studies, Kasetsart University, Sriracha Campus’ webinar as an honored speaker under the topic of ‘the COVID-19 situation and its effect on the maritime industry.’ Over 200 attendees including teachers and students joined the webinar. This event was part of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Hutchison Ports (Thailand) Limited and the Faculty of International Maritime Studies, Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus, aiming to improve the educational quality for the students and provide them with a successful maritime career path further down the line.
