Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) recently welcomed 80 participants from Ubon Ratchathani University of Business Administration (Business Management) for a presentation which focused on port management and the latest remote-control operational technology. This presentation was aimed at educating participants on effective management techniques and skills, in hopes that the participants would be able to apply such knowledge in the future.

On October 17, 2019 our Managing Director, Mr. Stephen Ashworth, was invited to participate as a panelist at the Lloyd’s List Asia Trade Outlook Forum in Singapore on the question of how ongoing changes to the structure of supply chains will impact trading flows in Asia. The panelists highlighted a number of upcoming challenges for the shipping, logistics and ports sectors but were nonetheless bullish about the prospects for continuing growth in the region.

October 16, 2019: Mr. Pipoauh Poomkaewkra was recently invited as a guest speaker to emphasize the “UNITY” core value of Hutchison Ports and Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT). And to educate the meaning and benefits of “UNITY” as well as to urge the 17 of UNITY behaviours which leads to the creation of new organizational innovation at terminal C1C2.

October 4th, 2019; Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) welcomed students and faculty of teachers from the Faculty of Science and Technology (Logistics Management), Bangkok Suvarnabhumi University. During the visit, footages of container operations with the latest remote-control technology were presented to the group.

September 26th, 2019; Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) welcomed students and faculty of teachers from the Faculty of Management Science Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. During the visit, a container operation with the latest remote-control technology were presented to the group. This eye-opening visit set the foundation for the students’ future career path.

“GO GREEN” Joint Environmental Initiative
September 17th, 2019; ‘Go Green’ in Thailand is the joint environmental initiative between Hutchison Ports Thailand, DP World, and PSA International – three of the largest port operators in Laemchabang Port. The programme aims to promote environmental awareness, improve the environment, upgrade local green spaces and make a sustainable environment in the communities in which they operate.
The campaign was held on September 17th, 2019 by 200 local partners with focus on planting 150 trees at The Royally – Initiated by Siri Charoenwat Forest Plantation Project, Chonburi.”

7 September 2019: Mr. Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director and senior executives of Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) welcomed Mr. Atirat Rattanaset, Deputy Minister of Transport, Lt.J.G. Kamolsak Proomprayoon, Director General of the Port Authority of Thailand and their respective delegations to Terminal D. During the visit, the delegation witnessed the operation of Terminal D’s remote control cranes and toured HPT’s recently opened visitors centre.

September 4, 2019: Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) welcomed 20 delegations from the Port of Osaka. The participants were presented an overview of Thailand’s logistics business and the container operation with the latest remote-controlled technology.
