On Friday, May 15, 2020 Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) made a donation to support the construction of air flow ducting systems for 2 COVID-19 wards. The 2 wards are for the treatment of patients infected with COVID-19 The donation was made by Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director and Management of HPT to the Director of Laemchabang Hospital, Dr. Disapon Thitiwaraporn at Laemchabang Hospital, Chonburi province.

April 26th, 2020; Hutchison Ports Thailand’s Terminal D took a major step to becoming a “smart” terminal when it welcomed the arrival of 6 autonomous trucks for a period of testing. The trucks are equipped with a smart operating system and are fully powered by electricity which, in addition, will also help the terminal to achieve its goal of being an eco-friendly facility.

Hutchison Ports Thailand is pleased to announce that its terminals located at the nation’s main gateway port of Laem Chabang are operating normally. At this critical time, our dedicated and hard working colleagues will continue to work around the clock to help ensure that critical goods arriving and leaving Thailand will continue to reach their destinations. While our terminals will remain open, we urge everybody else to stay at home and only go out if absolutely necessary in order to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

To avoid the risk of infection through virus-contaminated money, from March 30th, 2020 onwards, HPT will receive payment for services via bank transfer, bill payment via Krunsri Mobile Application (KMA), internet banking (Krungsri Online), and Krungsri Bank ATM (only customers with Krungsri Bank accounts.)

According to the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic, given the increased preventive measures in many areas. The public are advised to follow information from Port Authority of Thailand and TICTA.

Feb 24th, 2020; Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) recently welcomed the 34th out of 35 shipments of MRT Blue Line’s train carriages at Terminal D. The three train carriages were accurately discharged from the Yang Ming vessel, M.V. YM WISDOM, using the latest remote-controlled quay cranes, which were safely operated by HPT’s expert staff.

Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) recently held an internal event which focused on promoting UNITY core values and behaviours. During the event, Mr. Sakol Tojumroen, HPT’s Chief Operating Officer along with the HPT management team explained the importance of UNITY to the company’s employees. February 4th, 2020, Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) recently welcomed 55 participants from the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Management Science, Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon-Nakhon Campus for a presentation which focused on port management, and an overview of the Group’s Hutchison Ports Thailand.

January 29th, 2020; Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) recently welcomed 70 participants from the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) to Terminal D for a presentation. The participants were presented with an overview of Thailand’s logistics business by HPT and a demonstration of container operation with the latest remote controlled technology. The goal of this presentation was to educate and develop participants’ working skills.
