Hutchison Ports Thailand Receives New Batch of Remote-Controlled Rubber-Tyred Gantry Cranes to Enhance Terminal D Operations
On 15 October 2025, Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) received seven new remote-controlled electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RCeRTGCs) to boost container yard operations and enhance efficiency at Terminal D.
This latest delivery forms part of Terminal D’s ongoing development plan to continuously upgrade its equipment and operational technology with modern, environmentally friendly innovations. With this addition, Terminal D now operates a total of 43 remote-controlled rubber-tyred gantry cranes, providing more comprehensive and efficient yard coverage.
The new RCeRTGCs also demonstrate the company’s continued commitment to its “Green Port” strategy, which aims to reduce carbon emissions and promote the use of clean energy in container-handling operations, fully aligning with Hutchison Ports’ long-term sustainability objectives.
