On December 4, 2025, Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT), the largest container terminal operator at Laem Chabang Port, achieved a significant milestone of handling 50 million TEUs of container throughput since commencing operations in 2002. This achievement highlights HPT’s long-standing role in enhancing Thailand’s logistics and competitiveness.
Mr. Stephen Ashworth, Managing Director of Hutchison Ports Thailand and Southeast Asia, expressed his appreciation to customers, government authorities, business partners, and stakeholders, noting that this milestone reflects over two decades of dedication, innovation, and strong collaboration.
HPT is now preparing for the full launch of Terminal D in early 2026. Equipped with advanced digital systems, remote-controlled cranes, autonomous trucks, and electric equipment, the terminal will increase capacity, improve operational efficiency, and support the company’s goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
